SUMMER SMOOTHIE / by jill tranquilla

Smoothies are my breakfast go to. I almost have one everyday, so I was inspired to document my typical process! I get very creative but this recipe is my typical roadmap to a good smoothie.

What you will need:
- 1 cup of Juice. (For this smoothie I tried carrot juice, only to be extremely disappointed. I like carrot juice when it's fresh, so I was a bit thrown off by the flavor. Usually, I opt for Orange or Cranberry juice, sometimes even pomegranate. )
- 1 ripe B.A.N.A.N.A.N.A
- 1 1/2 cup of frozen fruit. I got mine from the grocery store, under the title "Summer Medley"
- A bit of yogurt (Caramel! or plain. Or whatever)
- Green vega powder and/or a handful of spinach (I typically do both but was out of spinach at the time).

All you're going to do is throw ingredients in a blender and blend until you think all is well, then enjoy! So simple. What I love about smoothies is that you can mix both veggies and fruits to fill your daily green intake and be full as well as on your way!

Out of all the smoothies I've made, I have to say that this one wasn't my favorite! I know if I had chosen orange juice there wouldn't have been a problem, but creativity and taking risks comes hand in hand! Let me know if you have a different approach to making smoothies or if you try making a variation of this!
